YLF hosts Lithuanian MUN

 Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the United Nations designated for pupils and students. During the simulation each participant acts as a diplomat of a certain country and tries to present and defend its interests within a context of different UN bodies according to MUN’s rules of procedures.

 

The main theme of thes project YOUTH GOES GLOBAL: International Model United Nations LT 2012 could be summarised as follows: young people in Europe (from Lithuania, Germany and Belarus) reacting to the global challenges of nuclear safety and international migration within a framework of the UN system. Conference takes place in Vilnius, April 26 – 29 2012.

The topics of the conference, nuclear energy safety and international migration and human rights, fully reflect the interests and needs of the participants and will empower them to raise awareness of these issues in their own home towns, schools and universities and to facilitate future dialogue with the decision-makers on various levels.

Registration for the conference: January 16 – February 12.                               

Eligible are: students of the European Humanities University; Lithuanian pupils and students; German students from the University of Siegen.
